## Title: Accounts Receivable Officer

About the Role

BrainShare Technologies seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to manage client billing, collections, and revenue recovery in Lagos, Nigeria.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients regarding billing and manage credit and collections via phone, email, or in-person meetings
  • Handle monthly statements and send to clients; maintain accounts receivable invoice records
  • Post and update payments daily in billing software and Zoho Books
  • Raise invoices and recognize withholding tax (WHT) receivable for all customers
  • Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfers to accounts receivable, and preparing reports
  • Receive cheques on behalf of the company from clients
  • Follow up and drive revenue collection for designated clients
  • Filter unpaid balances on the 25th, 28th, and 30th/31st of each month and send to Customer Support for payment reminders
  • Filter unpaid balances on the 4th of the month and send list to Sales and Vendor Management Department for follow-up
  • Execute upgrade and downgrade requests from customers
  • Verify total monthly sales and compare with amounts on proforma invoices
  • Monitor client account details for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities
  • Develop debt recovery systems and initiate collection efforts
  • Recommend service suspension for non-paying clients when necessary
  • Investigate and resolve client and vendor queries or discrepancies on billing and payments
  • Track new client connections using job completion certificates
  • Compile and submit weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reports

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution
  • Currently undergoing or pursuing ICAN (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria) certification
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position
