About the Role

Iknorbert Communications Limited is seeking an Accounts Officer to join our finance team in Lagos. This position is critical to our financial operations, requiring someone to prepare comprehensive financial statements and reports, manage tax obligations, and oversee audits to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will also analyse financial data to guide budgeting decisions, identify cost reduction opportunities, and maximize profitability while managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements
• Prepare and file tax returns, and provide tax planning services in accordance with current legislation
• Conduct internal audits, cooperate with external auditors, and ensure all financial records comply with government regulations and accounting standards
• Analyse financial data to support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk analysis with recommendations to improve revenue and profitability
• Document and maintain accurate financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements
• Provide financial advice to management on business decisions
• Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate expense tracking

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting or Business Administration
• Proficiency in accounting software (such as Busy Accounting Software) and Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail and meticulousness in financial record-keeping
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
