Position Overview:
- We are seeking for a competent and accountable person to fill in the position of an account officer whose job is soley to manage the company's financial records, handle daily bookkeeping like processing invoices, tracking expenses, recording payments, billing clients, and following up on overdue accounts, ensuring financial data accuracy and supporting overall financial operations, audits, and reporting, also serving as a liaison for financial inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creating and processing invoices
- Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy
- Managing thecompany’s accounts payable and receivable
- Sendinginvoices to clients
- Tracking company's expenses
- Regularly reconciles bank statements, ledgers, and other accounts, cross-checking balances to identify any discrepancies or errors. This process is critical for monthly and quarterly reporting.
- Precision in recording and checking financial data prevents costly errors in reporting, invoicing, and payroll. Accounts Officers need exceptional focus to manage large volumes of data with accuracy.
- Integrity and ethical conduct are vital for an Accounts Officer. They handle confidential financial information, make financial decisions impacting the organisation, and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial management tools.
Requirements:
- Education: B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, ICAN certificate is an added advantage.
- Experience: 3-5 years experience in bookkeeping or relevant financial experience.
- Skills: Strong math, organizational, computer (bookkeeping software), analytical, communication, and attention to detail.
