Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Provide managerial oversight for all accounting functions
- Generate accurate and timely periodic financial statements
- Direct and supervise accounting staff, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
- Oversee assets and finances, including monitoring purchases, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, and capital expenditures
Operational Oversight
- Manage accounting-related information systems and records
- Monitor budget compliance and conduct reconciliations of cash accounts
- Oversee cash receipts and disbursements
- Evaluate staff performance and contribute to their professional development
- Assist in managing operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities
Financial Analysis and Reporting
- Handle accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, forecasting, and budgeting functions
- Supervise end-of-period processes and support analysis of business performance, budgets, and forecasts
- Manage and coordinate vendor and procurement activities
- Prepare timely monthly financial statements, payments, and cash-flow management reports for management review
