Accountant Trainee

Position Overview: - We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant Trainee to join our finance team. - This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills, gain practical experience, and grow within our organization. - The successful candidate will assist in various accounting tasks, supporting the team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and reports. - Support the accounts payable and receivable processes. - Reconcile bank statements and monitor account transactions. - Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. - Support month-end and year-end closing activities. - Help ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant regulations. - Participate in audits and provide necessary documentation. - Perform data entry and maintain organized financial documentation. - Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and perform any other related duties as assigned by the Senior Accountant or Finance Manager. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - Minimum of 1 -2 year(s) of relevant accounting experience. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel. - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices. - Professional certification or ongoing studies (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage. Preferred Skills: - Previous internship or exposure to accounting functions. - Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Tally) is a plus.
