Accountant (FMCG) at J-Six Group

About the Role

We are seeking a business-savvy accountant to join our team at our Lekki Phase 1 branch in Lagos. This position offers excellent opportunities for career growth within the FMCG sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist management in the decision-making process by monitoring budgets and financial forecasts
• Coordinate weekly and monthly stock taking activities
• Examine financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage the brand's cash management and banking activities efficiently
• Handle stock reconciliation and inventory monitoring
• Collect and analyse data for the preparation of weekly and monthly financial estimates
• Perform general accounting activities including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, capital expenditure schedules)
• Produce management reports for the brand
• Generate monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting

• Monthly P&L report
• Monthly Stock Reconciliation and Variance Report
• Additional reports as required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Banking and Finance
• 2–3 years of experience in the FMCG sector (required)
• Proficiency in Excel (required)
• Knowledge of Zoho (advantageous)
• High integrity and commitment to confidentiality
• Business-savvy mindset

Compensation and Benefits

• Monthly Salary: ₦200,000
