A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. Job Summary - The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, preparing reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting management with financial insights for strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ledgers, and journals. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. - Reconcile bank statements and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions. - Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. - Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax filings (VAT, PAYE, WHT, CIT, etc.). - Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. - Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other external partners as required. - Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures. - Support payroll processing and ensure statutory deductions are accurately remitted. - Provide financial insights to management for operational and strategic decisions. Qualifications and Experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in accounting or finance. - Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (preferred). - Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, or similar). - Strong understanding of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
