## Title: Accountant
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded in compliance with accounting principles and standards such as GAAP or IFRS
- Prepare essential financial documents such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements that provide insights into the organization's financial health and support stakeholder decision-making
- Calculate tax obligations, prepare tax returns, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations, while providing guidance on tax strategies to minimize liabilities
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, costs, revenues, and financial commitments to aid in forecasting future revenues and expenses and support management decision-making
- Conduct internal audits to verify the accuracy of financial records and compliance with regulations, and help implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 1 - 3 years of professional accounting experience
