About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Hospital Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and hospital financial policies.

This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain hospital financial records, ledgers, and reports
• Ensure accuracy in all hospital financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and expense reports
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for hospital units and projects
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with healthcare tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal controls
• Liaise with external auditors, suppliers, and healthcare regulators as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting
• Professional certification (ICAN/ANAN, or equivalent) is an advantage
• Minimum of 2–4 years' accounting experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and healthcare financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally ERP)
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• High level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
