Key Responsibilities: - Prepare budget, review and track Expenses - Implementing financial policies and procedures - Establish and maintain cash controls - Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger - Monitor cash reserves and investments - Prepare and reconcile bank statements - Process/execute supplier invoices - Prepare income statements & balance sheets - Prepare quarterly reports and report on variances - Maintain financial files and records including cash book - Maintain assets register and safeguard Company’s assets - Prepare budget forecasts and Assist with annual audit - Publish financial statements in time and Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings - Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and Ensure timely bank payments - Compute taxes and prepare tax returns and Submit VAT filing - Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements - Monthly / Quarterly Reports on the company’s financial health and liquidity - Audit financial transactions and documents - Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary - Minimizing office expenditures - Maintain close links and inform the Chief Executive of all issues likely to affect the operation of the Company - Carry out general duties as assigned from time to time in all accounting transactions Required Qualifications: / Requirements for this role - First degree (minimum second class lower) in Accounting or any relevant field. - ICAN or it's Equivalent - Experience in preparing and presenting financial and budget reports - 1-5 years post graduation experience. - Knowledgeable and skilled with excel for accounting processes and programming - Excellent communication skills - Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills - Self motivated, good drive and passion for excellence.
