Accountant

Position Overview: - The Accountant is responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable - Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies - Prepare and process payroll, including statutory deductions - Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax, etc.) - Prepare and file statutory returns - Monitor budgets and control costs - Support internal and external audits - Implement and maintain strong internal controls - Provide financial advice and analysis to management Required Qualifications: & Requirements - BSc / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field - Minimum of 3–5 years relevant work experience - Professional certification (ICAN/ACCA) or in view is an advantage - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting - Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel - Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.
