Job description

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. - The Accountant will assist the Finance Department in managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company and statutory financial regulations. The role requires an individual with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of accounting procedures and hospitality industry business operations. Key Responsibilities: - Sales confirmation, sales summary, financial analysis, pos end of day report - Record, verify, and reconcile all financial transactions accurately. - Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and expense reports. - Reconcile bank statements and maintain up-to-date ledgers. - Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursements, and petty cash. - Assist with payroll preparation and statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, Ogun State Tax, Pension etc.). - Ensure compliance with internal control policies and audit requirements. - Maintain accurate documentation and filing of financial records. - Support the Accountant in financial analysis and reporting to management. - Participate in end-of-month and end-of-year closing processes. Required Qualifications: and Requirements: - HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Valino, Moniebook, Sage). - Strong knowledge of tax laws and financial reporting standards. - Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. - Strong ethical standards and ability to handle confidential information. Key Areas of Proficiency: - Financial record keeping and reconciliation - Analytical and problem-solving skills - Accuracy and accountability - Time management and teamwork - Knowledge of hospitality financial operations (added advantage)
