Accountant

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Position Overview: - The Accountant will support the finance function by gathering, validating, and costing all inventory and production data for aluminum and copper recycling operations. - The role focuses on accurate cost analysis, material tracking, and financial documentation to ensure timely reporting and support effective decision-making within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Job Responsibilities - Collect, verify, and record daily production data from plant operations. - Perform accurate costing of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods. - Track inventory movement and reconcile physical stock with system records. - Prepare cost reports and assist in analyzing production variances. - Support the Finance Manager in monthly and quarterly financial reporting. - Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal controls. - Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards. - Collaborate with the production and procurement teams to obtain timely operational data. - Assist in monitoring budget utilization and expense documentation. - Perform any other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager. Job Requirements - National Diploma (ND) in Accounting only– HND / B.Sc holders are not eligible. - 1 – 3 years of relevant experience (manufacturing experience is an added advantage). - Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software. - Ability to work in a structured, data-driven environment. - Good communication and teamwork skills. - Willingness to work in Mowe, Ogun State.
