Accountability for Affected Populations Officer at Bincike International

About the Role

We are seeking two dedicated Accountability for Affected Populations (AAP) Officers to be based in Maiduguri and Mubi. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring our programs are designed and implemented with accountability to the communities we serve. This role is essential for strengthening trust, improving program quality, and ensuring the voices of affected populations are at the heart of our work.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish, design, implement, and manage accessible and confidential feedback and complaint mechanisms for all project participants, including managing hotlines, suggestion boxes, and regular feedback sessions
• Collect, analyse, and report on feedback and complaints received through various channels to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for program improvement
• Regularly engage with community members, local leaders, and program participants to ensure their perspectives are heard and integrated into program design and implementation
• Conduct training for staff on accountability principles, community engagement, and managing feedback to embed a culture of accountability across the organisation
• Prepare detailed reports on accountability activities, including feedback received, actions taken, and the impact on program quality

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences, development studies, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Strong background in community engagement, accountability, or monitoring and evaluation
• Experience in a humanitarian or development context (highly desirable)
• Excellent understanding of accountability principles and best practices
