Account Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. About the Role - We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Account Officer to join our Finance Department. - The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Key Responsibilities: - Record and reconcile all financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and journal entries. - Maintain and update financial records in accounting software. - Prepare and submit periodic financial reports and statements. - Manage accounts payable and receivable efficiently. - Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring. - Support internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation. - Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (PAYE, VAT, Pension, etc.). - Maintain proper filing and record-keeping of all financial documents. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements: - B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. - Minimum of 1–2years relevant experience in a similar role. - Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Tally). - Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Added Advantage: - Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or in view). - Experience in [industry type, e.g., FMCG, manufacturing, or services sector].
