Account / Inventory Officer at Excel and Grace Consulting

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Account and Inventory Officer to manage the company's financial records while ensuring accurate and efficient inventory control. This role combines financial accountability with stock management to support operational efficiency and informed decision-making within the solar systems business.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly and annual accounts
• Maintain proper accounting records, ledgers, and documentation
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including taxes, filings, and audits
• Monitor cash flow, expenses, and income to ensure financial stability
• Support budget preparation and ensure strict adherence to approved budgets
• Implement cost-control measures to minimize financial leakages

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of all inventory items, including solar panels, inverters, batteries, and accessories
• Monitor stock levels to prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and operational delays
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations
• Track inventory movement and ensure proper documentation
• Identify and reduce wastage, damage, or loss of stock through effective controls

Reporting and Controls

• Ensure zero to minimal financial discrepancies or inventory variances
• Provide reliable financial and inventory data to support management decisions
• Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation
• Recommend improvements to financial and inventory control systems

Required Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and inventory management
• Knowledge of accounting software and inventory systems
• Experience in solar, electrical, or engineering-related companies is an advantage
