Chemonics recruits 01 Technical Advisor

About the Role

Chemonics seeks a short-term technical advisor to support the Human Resources for Health in 2030 Capacity Building for Malaria (HRH2030 CBM) program in Niger. The technical advisor will display expertise in organizational change management and human resources management.

This activity aims to improve country Global Fund grant performance through changes in policy or guidelines, improvements in monitoring and evaluation systems, or reduced stock-outs through technical support to national malaria control programs (NMCPs).

The advisor will work within and with the NMCPs to provide technical support, build NMCP capacity, and ensure collaboration with other partners to optimize malaria interventions supported by the Global Fund and improve the management and overall effectiveness of the NMCP.

Program Details

HRH2030 will implement targeted technical assistance activities recommended by a recent NMCP evaluation and support a CDC field epidemiology training program for four months in Niamey.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the NMCP in implementing recommendations from the recent Organizational Capacity Assessment in Niger
• Conduct desk reviews of relevant Niger NMCP and HRH2030 documents and reports
• Perform NMCP process mapping to understand and accurately capture daily management of activities, including roles and responsibilities of all departments
• Assist the NMCP in strengthening human resources for health management, organizational capacity, and daily management of activities using on-the-job training and coaching
• Lead workshops and in-person trainings to improve skills and competency of all staff
• Facilitate activities related to the Field Epidemiology Training Program in coordination with the Nigerien Ministry of Health
