About the Position
Join the Africa Center of Manufacturing Excellence (ACME) at UM6P as a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Additive Manufacturing. ACME is a technology development platform focused on Advanced Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, automation, and tooling.
Location & Reporting
Location: ACME, UM6P campus, Nouaceur, Casablanca, Morocco
Reports to: Technical Manager / General Manager
Mission
The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for materials and processes tasks related to metallic Additive Manufacturing for high-performance components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering challenges, analyze data, design prototypes, and contribute to the advancement of ACME's core technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply AM expertise to continually grow and improve ACME's technical capabilities in support of research, development, and production tasks
- Evaluate new metal AM machines and provide input on machine selection for purchase decisions
- Conduct 3D scanning of complex mechanical parts using laser, optical, or structured-light technologies
- Design and implement machine improvements and manage capital equipment projects
- Troubleshoot and maintain cam-driven mechanisms, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment used in production
- Collaborate with CNC machining teams to develop estimates for full CNC and AM/CNC hybrid projects
- Create 3D models and CAD drawings of engineered products and process equipment, including general arrangement, assembly, and fabrication drawings
- Lead process development initiatives related to additive manufacturing technologies
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Strong understanding of major metallic AM approaches
- Solid foundation in materials and metallurgical engineering
- Knowledge of process capability and production efficiency optimization
- Experience with industrialization of AM technologies
- Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling
- Experience with CNC machining and hybrid manufacturing processes
- Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

Your performance will be assessed through key KPIs reflecting your impact on process capability, production efficiency, industrialization of AM technologies, and cross-functional execution.
