About the Role
Our client in the Telecommunications sector seeks to recruit a Zonal Sales Representative based in Kisumu. In this role, you will sell and manage the distribution of communication products and services including Airtime, SIM Cards, Mobile Financial Services, and Devices to resellers and distributors within your assigned territory. You will identify and facilitate optimization of opportunities to drive sales as maximally and efficiently as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales (revenue) targets for the territory across Mobile and MFS channels
- Achieve customer base targets through acquisition drives
- Drive channel-specific agenda in line with company targets (ASOs, SSOs, Agencies)
- Achieve site profitability targets within the territory via site-based activities and programs
- Oversee and drive the people capability agenda across all levels (TDRs, DSAs, Commandoes)
- Ensure customer expectations regarding standard of services and product knowledge are met in both stores and partner outlets
- Monitor competitor activities and prepare counter action plans
- Prepare and submit reports as required
Key Deliverables
- Partner management – ensuring channel partners are engaged and effectively driving brands on the ground
- Sales targets – delivering assigned targets on revenues, airtime, gross additions, data, and devices
- Field agents and partner team management (DSAs, Commandoes) – managing team output according to business objectives
- Visibility – ensuring partner outlets, trade, and general market visibility
- Availability – ensuring availability of products and services within assigned markets and areas
- Reports – sharing reports as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
Required Experience
- 2–3 years' experience in sales and distribution roles in Telco or FMCG sectors
