Position Overview

The Waiting Staff will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of meals from the kitchen to patients and for ensuring a positive dining experience at Veteran Mission Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.

Core Responsibilities

• Deliver meals to patient rooms according to dietary orders
• Ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures and follow presentation standards
• Assist patients with meal-related needs where necessary
• Report any complaints or issues related to meals to the kitchen or nutrition team
• Maintain hygiene standards during meal service
• Support kitchen staff with clean-up and basic kitchen tasks when needed

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in food service or hospitality is desirable
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of hygiene standards in food service
• Ability to work under supervision and follow instructions
