Trainer, Nautical Science at Bandari Maritime Academy

About the Role

Bandari Maritime Academy is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a talented Trainer in Nautical Science to join our growing organization in Nairobi, Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training and capacity building programs in maritime education and related areas
• Develop instructional materials for training programs
• Implement training programs according to the set syllabus
• Set, moderate, administer, and mark examinations
• Monitor and report class attendance
• Support trainees' practical sessions, trade projects, and business plan development
• Contribute to the development and review of curriculum and syllabus
• Assist in workshop records documentation and analysis
• Supervise trainees during practical training activities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience at the grade of Assistant Trainer III or in a comparable position
• Diploma in one of the following engineering fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Nautical Science
• Proficiency in computer applications and software
