About the Position

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Mathematics Teacher at our institution in Nairobi, Kenya.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Diploma in Education with a minimum of C+ at KCSE (or equivalent) with at least C+ (or Credit Pass) in two teaching subjects
• Bachelor's degree in Education (added advantage)
• For Diploma Teachers who graduated in 2008 or before: mean grade of C (plain) with C (plain) in two teaching subjects
• P1 Certificate (added advantage)
• Active registration as a teacher with the Teachers Service Commission
• At least 1 year's teaching experience (added advantage)
• Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)

Required Experience and Commitment

• Commitment to student-centered learning and the CBE curriculum
• Training on CBE curriculum (added advantage)
• Active membership in good standing with the Seventh-day Adventist Church (recommendation from local church pastor required)
• Kenyan citizen

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with CBE requirements
• Assess, evaluate, and record learners' academic progress
• Provide remedial support and guidance to struggling learners
• Maintain discipline and a conducive learning environment
• Integrate Christian values in teaching and mentorship
• Participate in co-curricular activities, school programs, and departmental meetings
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on learners' progress
• Uphold the values and ethos of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
• Perform any other duties as assigned
