Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualifications

• Earned Ph.D. degree in Nursing (Midwifery, Critical Care, Oncology, or Education) or equivalent from a recognized academic institution

Teaching and Research Experience

• Minimum 3 years of teaching and/or research experience at university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow, or equivalent 6 years of research/industry experience
• Evidence of continued research and demonstrated effective teaching with success in student supervision

Research and Publications

• Minimum 32 publication points as a lecturer or equivalent
• Minimum 24 of these points must be from refereed journals
• Supervised at least 3 postgraduate degree students to completion as a lecturer or equivalent
• Attended and contributed at learned conferences, seminars, or workshops

Professional Requirements

• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya
• Strong proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital instructional tools
• Evidence of contribution to university life through active participation in departmental matters, student academic advising, school and university meetings, committee membership, and other institutional activities
