About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Senior Lecturer in Information Systems. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to academic excellence through teaching, research, and leadership within the discipline.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses in Information Systems at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels
• Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
• Supervise dissertations and theses at the graduate level
• Develop new undergraduate and postgraduate courses
• Initiate, promote, and participate in research projects
• Participate in academic leadership programmes
• Provide professional and community services, and initiate linkages and fundraising
• Carry out administrative and other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate degree or academic equivalent
• Minimum of four (4) years of teaching or research experience at university level since appointment as Lecturer
• Evidence of supervision of postgraduate degree students
• Attendance and contribution at academic conferences, seminars, or workshops
• Minimum of four (4) publications in refereed journals since appointment as Lecturer
• Fulfillment of Chapter Six requirements of the Constitution of Kenya
