## Title: Sales Associate – Tourism & Hospitality

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to drive sales growth and customer success in Kenya's hospitality sector. You will build strong relationships with lodge partners, expand account portfolios, and guide them through our innovative procurement platform.

Key Responsibilities

Lodge Acquisition & Sales

  • Prospect and onboard new lodges while building strong relationships with general managers, chefs, and procurement officers
  • Demonstrate how Kijani delivers reliability, savings, and hassle-free ordering

Account Growth & SKU Penetration

  • Map menu cycles and procurement patterns to help lodges streamline their purchasing
  • Introduce lodges to the full product catalogue and shift them from ad-hoc orders to predictable monthly procurement

Platform Adoption

  • Guide lodges through our Procurement OS—from initial audits to WhatsApp-based ordering, demand planning, and automated replenishment
  • Make procurement simpler and more efficient for partners

Customer Service Excellence

  • Conduct regular account reviews and resolve service issues promptly
  • Ensure accurate deliveries and clear communication with every lodge

Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Identify new sourcing opportunities and competitive pricing insights
  • Report weekly on revenue progress, lodge movement, pipeline, and risk
  • Maintain accurate CRM data, lodge insights, and procurement cycle information

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 3–5 years in sales, account management, or client-facing roles
  • Background in hospitality, tourism, food distribution, FMCG, logistics, or supply chain
  • Familiarity with the Mara lodge ecosystem or safari hospitality is a major plus

Skills & Qualities

  • Natural relationship builder with strong written, spoken, and online communication skills
  • Analytical mindset—able to spot patterns in procurement data and translate them into opportunities
  • Comfortable with CRM tools and structured reporting
  • Valid driver's license and confident driving across varied terrain
  • Ready to travel regularly across lodge clusters
