## Title: Room Attendant

Role Objective

A leading hotel in Konza is looking for an active and flexible room attendant to maintain the highest standards of hygiene and housekeeping. The successful candidate will ensure that guestrooms and public areas are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained to exceptional quality standards.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of guestrooms and public areas to the highest standards of quality and presentation
  • Change and make beds with fresh linens
  • Clean and sanitize all bathroom fixtures including sinks, toilets, showers, and tubs
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • Vacuum carpets and sweep and mop hard floors
  • Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
  • Restock all in-room toiletries, bathroom amenities, and other guest supplies
  • Check all room equipment (lights, TV, air conditioning) to ensure they are in working order
  • Promptly report any maintenance issues, damages, or necessary repairs to the supervisor or maintenance department
  • Notify the supervisor of any lost-and-found items
  • Organize and arrange furniture and decor to ensure neat, welcoming, and standardized room environments
  • Stock the housekeeping cart with necessary linens, cleaning chemicals, and guest supplies before starting the shift
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Front Desk and Maintenance to address guest requests and maintain cleanliness standards
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure appropriate follow-through
  • Ensure assigned rooms are fully stocked, clean, and tidy by the end of the shift
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate in Hospitality Management, Catering and Accommodation, or related field
  • At least one (1) year of experience as a Housekeeper, preferably in hospitality
