Project Overview

In collaboration with the Government of Rwanda and other relevant partners, Heifer International Rwanda implements the Rwanda Dairy Development Project (RDDP II), a flagship program known as "one cow per poor family." The project covers the entire country and focuses on:

• Improving income and nutritional status
• Mobilizing farmers and promoting local capacity through training
• Promoting market linkages for dairy value chain actors
• Improving livestock quality through artificial insemination services
• Empowering rural women
• Building resilience through sustainable agricultural practices
• Connecting local communities to business development services

Purpose and Objective

The purpose of this activity is to improve access to safe and clean drinking water for project beneficiary households, thereby enhancing health, hygiene, and overall well-being within targeted communities.

The objective is to supply and install water filtration devices in one hundred (100) households across Kamonyi District, covering five (5) sectors, while ensuring effective distribution and proper installation.
