Monitoring and Evaluation Associate (6 Months Contract)

Position Overview

Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Associate for a 6-month contract position based in Nairobi, Kenya. This role will support the M&E team in reviewing program data, managing documentation, and conducting analysis to inform performance reviews across multiple initiatives.

Role Summary

The M&E Associate will assist in reviewing data from the Continental Pillar Program with a focus on milestone delivery and support the STRAK Project through the Agricultural Market Information System (AMIS). The role involves developing milestone reports, conducting basic data analysis for quarterly grant performance reviews, and compiling M&E documentation in preparation for end-of-program evaluation and knowledge management archiving.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and developing milestone status reports for Continental Pillar grants, with focus on AGRA self-reported work under Value for Her and Generation Africa initiatives
• Review supporting documents uploaded on AMIS and submitted by grantees to ensure completeness, with particular focus on verifying youth reached under the YEFFA program
• Compile and organize M&E documentation as the project closes in preparation for archiving and uploading to the Knowledge Management (KM) portal
• Support the results harvesting documentation process for Continental Pillar program activities
• Upload finalized documents and reports to the KM portal, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness
• Provide general support to the central M&E team in execution of M&E-related activities

Key Deliverables

• Quarterly reports on milestones for Continental grants, flagging those on track and those behind schedule
• Development and management of results database for Value for Her and Generation Africa work
• Review and validation of key support documents submitted by grantees on AMIS, including beneficiary and SME lists
• Review of grantee technical reports with data comparison against indicator data on AMIS
• Complete compilation and upload of all STRAK project documents to the KM portal
