## Title: Medical Sales Representative

About the Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth in pharmaceutical sales and distribution within the Nairobi region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned product categories and accounts
  • Increase product penetration across all sales channels, including pharmacies, hospitals, and key regional distributors
  • Execute the distribution strategy to guarantee wide market availability and timely product replenishment across the territory
  • Actively promote the company's range of generics and surgicals to maximize product visibility and turnover with trade partners
  • Identify, engage, and successfully convert new customers and establish new distribution points
  • Maintain excellent working relationships with retailers, chemists, wholesalers, and hospital procurement teams through regular trade visits
  • Monitor stock levels, product display, and brand performance during trade visits, providing necessary after-sales support
  • Monitor all outstanding payments and ensure timely collections in strict accordance with established credit policies
  • Gather current market intelligence, including competitor pricing, promotional activities, and opportunities for new product expansion
  • Maintain accurate records of daily sales calls, orders, and collections, and submit timely sales and expense reports while upholding ethical standards

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in pharmaceutical sales, particularly in distribution and trade marketing
  • Demonstrated success in selling generics and surgicals
  • Strong professional network within the pharmaceutical retail and distribution ecosystem
  • Proven experience working effectively with distribution teams in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sectors
  • Established rapport and credibility with retailers, stockists, and distributors
