## Title: Mathematics Learning Support Teacher – Junior School

About the Role

Mirema School is a Christian educational institution seeking a qualified Learning Support Teacher specializing in Mathematics. You will provide individualized and small-group instructional support to learners with diverse academic, developmental, or behavioral needs. Your focus will be on helping learners access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within an inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one or small-group instruction tailored to students' individual learning needs
  • Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning skills
  • Identify and address gaps in foundational academic skills
  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with identified learning needs
  • Provide direct support to students within the general education classroom setting
  • Assist learners with smooth transitions between subjects and learning activities
  • Apply a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles, including tactile, visual, and multisensory approaches
  • Ensure proper organization, use, and management of instructional and learning materials

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant teaching experience in a classroom setting as a Special Needs teacher or equivalent position in a reputable organization
  • Degree or Diploma in Special Needs
  • TSC Number
  • Proficiency in Computer Applications
