Job Purpose
The Marketing Executive will support the Marketing function in delivering its objectives by recruiting students, marketing University programmes, and advising on current market trends based on market surveys and competitive analysis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Student Recruitment
- Sell courses to prospective clients and meet monthly sales targets as agreed with the line manager
- Activate recruitment through various channels including churches, schools, companies, and other organizations
Market Surveys and Competitive Analysis
- Monitor competitor activities and performance including registrations, student populations, programmes offered, pricing, and facilities
- Track competitor marketing strategies such as advertisements and promotions
- Monitor expansion and growth activities of competitors including new branches and collaborations
- Identify new market entrants
- Collect market intelligence to identify new and potential market opportunities
- Assess market demand, University brand positioning, and awareness levels
- Communicate market intelligence to the Marketing Manager with recommendations on appropriate actions
Direct Marketing and Communications
- Develop and distribute marketing materials including posters, flyers, and other promotional content
- Ensure strategic, consistent, and targeted placement of marketing materials in legally permitted locations that reach appropriate market segments
- Maintain and monitor all marketing materials in the field
- Represent the University at conferences, seminars, exhibitions, and events
- Coordinate events that promote University awareness and credentials
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all University courses and programmes
