## Title: Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer

Job Purpose

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the Accounting Officer and is responsible to the Board for day-to-day management and coordination of activities in the Authority. This role involves defining and executing strategy, generating revenue, engaging customers and stakeholders, managing risk, ensuring compliance, driving performance, and growing talent.

  • 3-year contract renewable once
  • Reports to: Chairperson, Board of Directors

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide overall strategic leadership of the Authority in line with market and industry changes through the senior management team, delivering strategic intent and overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Engage with key stakeholders in the development and delivery of strategic customer, government, and sector-wide aviation initiatives
  • Present strategy, long-term capital investment plans, annual budgets, and procurement plans to the Board for deliberation and approval
  • Ensure continuous improvement in the quality and value of services and products provided by the Authority
  • Provide sufficient, accurate, and timely information on the Authority's operations, financial status, and overall performance to enable the Board to fulfill its governance objectives
  • Drive maximum utilization and productivity from all Authority assets, ensuring positive return on capital investment and operating expenditure, while enhancing the balance between aeronautical and non-aeronautical revenues
  • Ensure the Authority has adequate systems and processes for accountability, risk management, and internal control
  • Ensure all Authority policies and operations adhere to legal, statutory, and regulatory guidelines, prioritizing and safeguarding the Authority's interests
  • Establish and maintain a high-performance culture driven by talent development and organizational excellence
