Livelihood Mobilizer - Lorengkippi, Turkana County at ACTED

About the Role

The Livelihood Mobilizer serves as the vital link between the organization and the beneficiary community. You will ensure the successful implementation of Women and Youth empowerment and livelihood activities with full community involvement while maintaining accountability to stakeholders. You will support needs assessments, mobilization, targeting, validation, registration, verification, baseline surveys, group training, post-distribution monitoring, endline surveys, and beneficiary follow-up in liaison with the Project Manager. You will ensure all project activities are executed in collaboration with local communities, local authorities, and other relevant agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Assessment and Mobilization

• Conduct field-based needs assessments and consolidate information for planning and implementing women and youth empowerment and livelihood activities
• Support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team in community organization during verification, baseline, post-distribution monitoring (PDM), and endline surveys
• Oversee targeting, validation, and registration of project beneficiaries
• Support the Program Director in translating field assessment findings into feasible and relevant project proposals
• Mobilize community members to actively participate in women and youth empowerment activities and livelihood interventions
• Support the development of data collection tools for women and youth empowerment activities and livelihood interventions
• Execute other project-related assignments as directed by the Project Manager

Monitoring

• Support follow-up and monitoring of all women and youth empowerment activities and livelihood activities within the area of jurisdiction
• Attend other project activities as directed by the Project Manager

Supervision and Training

• Develop and implement beneficiary engagement plans including targeting, mobilization, validation, registration, baseline surveys, and verification activities
