Position Overview
We are seeking a Human Resources Officer to assist in overseeing the implementation of Human Resource strategies, policies, and programs. This role involves updating records of staff training and development programs and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Human Resources in managing day-to-day operations of the Human Resource Department
- Implement the administration of human resources policies, procedures, and programs within assigned business lines
- Maintain and generate accurate HR records and reports to guide decision-making and future planning
- Oversee and ensure all employee records are updated and personnel files are securely maintained in both physical and electronic formats
- Monitor and update staff leave records on a daily, bi-weekly, and monthly basis in both physical and electronic formats
- Ensure staff contracts are current and up to date
- Coordinate timely submission of payroll changes and share them promptly with the Payroll Officer after Human Resources Manager approval
- Coordinate the onboarding process to ensure new hires understand and align with the company's vision, mission, values, approaches, policies, procedures, strategies, and operations
- Coordinate and provide relevant statistical information and data on recruitment activities and applicable recruitment metrics
- Coordinate performance appraisals and performance reviews, updating performance development or improvement plans to address performance gaps
- Maintain knowledge of training trends, developments, and best practices
- Assist with the implementation of Learning & Development initiatives by liaising with line managers to identify, gather, and consolidate Training Needs Analysis
