About the Role
A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to lead client relationships and drive business development initiatives. In this strategic position, you will oversee all aspects of client engagement, relationship management, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a firm-wide client relationship strategy aligned with business objectives
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with partners to identify new business opportunities and expand service offerings
- Oversee and support the Business Development team in delivering pitches, proposals, tenders, and other client-facing initiatives
- Provide coaching and guidance to partners and senior staff on client engagement, retention, and growth strategies
- Monitor client satisfaction, gather feedback, and implement initiatives to enhance client experience
- Track market trends and competitor activity to inform client strategy and positioning
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team to ensure effective execution of client strategies
- Report on client relationship performance, key accounts, and business development metrics to the Executive Committee
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in professional services, preferably within a legal or consulting environment
- Proven track record in client relationship management, business development, and strategic account management
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring a team
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Ability to work closely with senior partners and other stakeholders to achieve strategic objectives
- Analytical and strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies
Desirable Qualifications
- Understanding of the Kenyan legal market, regulatory environment, and client expectations
