Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Head Chef to oversee kitchen operations and deliver exceptional culinary experiences. You will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality menus, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety, while managing kitchen staff and ensuring guests receive outstanding service. You will also manage food inventory effectively and achieve set food cost margins.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute creative and innovative menu options guided by facility cost margin guidelines and client preferences
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service with consistent quality in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Monitor food preparation and cooking techniques to maintain quality standards
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to develop a skilled team
- Manage staff schedules, off days, and leave scheduling to ensure adequate coverage during busy seasons
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to staff
- Manage inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies, ensuring quality, proper storage, rotation, and waste reduction
- Control food costs through efficient ordering, portion control, and waste minimization
- Update and maintain accurate inventory records
- Enforce strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Ensure compliance with local authority food safety guidelines
- Ensure food presentation and quality exceed guest expectations
- Address guest feedback or concerns related to food quality promptly
- Work closely with the service team to maintain and improve overall guest experience
