Graduate Trainee - Legal & Private Wealth at Liaison Group

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our legal and private wealth team in a graduate trainee capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, proofread, and manage legal documents, presentations, reports, and correspondence
• Serve as a point of contact between the legal department and internal/external stakeholders, managing inquiries
• Maintain and organize electronic and physical files, ensuring easy retrieval of documents and compliance with legal retention policies
• Support legal projects by tracking milestones, gathering relevant documents, and coordinating with team members
• Conduct industry-related research, compiling information and preparing summaries as requested
• Handle expense reporting, monitor departmental budgets, and process invoices and reimbursements
• Prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items for legal department meetings
• Prepare and deliver presentations on private wealth and trusts to various stakeholders
• Support business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, forming partnerships, and planning growth in trust services

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in law (preferred)
• 2 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate organization
• Familiarity with regulatory bodies including IRA, CMA, KRA, RBA, PPRB, BRS, and CBK

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of compliance and regulatory standards within securitization, real estate, and private wealth/trusts sectors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on confidentiality and professionalism
• Excellent attention to detail with strong multitasking and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Paralegal certification or legal administrative experience
