Finance Manager - Nairobi at Yellow Pages Kenya

YPPeople is recruiting on behalf of Yellow Pages Kenya, a Yellow Pages book publisher and digital agency with operations across Angola, Kenya, Cape Verde, Tanzania, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Mozambique. YPPeople is a leading HR and manpower outsourcing agency with a strong presence in Kenya, Cape Verde, and Mozambique, delivering tailored solutions for telcos, construction, utilities, and retail sectors.

As Yellow Pages Kenya continues its expansion, they are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to strengthen finance operations and support ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage group accounting and financial reporting across Kenya, Cape Verde, and Mozambique
• Supervise a team of 4 finance professionals located in each country of operation
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and serve as the primary liaison with Revenue Authorities in each country
• Manage audit processes and coordinate with internal and external auditors
• Oversee payroll accounting, statutory payments, and financial controls
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting
• Prepare timely and accurate management reports for the COO and leadership team
• Utilize and optimize ERP/accounting systems (experience with Primavera BSS or similar systems is advantageous)

Required Qualifications & Experience

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification (mandatory)
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years' experience in a finance management role, ideally with exposure to group accounting and multinational operations
• Proven ability to manage remote teams and work effectively across cultures
• Advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Experience in the HR, outsourcing, or agency sector
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Primavera BSS
