Qualifications

• Diploma, Higher National Diploma, or Degree in Electrical Engineering, or Electrical and Electronic Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in a similar industry (e.g., oil extraction, food processing, or heavy manufacturing)
• Training in First Aid and Fire Safety
• OSHA Certification or equivalent
• Preferably living in Mombasa or the Coastal Region

Technical Skills - Instrumentation and Automation

• Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and human-machine interface (HMI) programming
• Hands-on experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems applicable to oil extraction plants
• Familiarity with power analysis tools for quality monitoring and optimization
• Expertise with electro-pneumatic, electrohydraulic, and electromechanical systems

Diagrams and Standards

• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs
• Knowledge of electrical standards and codes relevant to the industry

Safety Knowledge

• Knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, permit-to-work systems, and confined space entry
• Familiarity with energized system protocols and hazard identification techniques
