Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate motor vehicles as authorized
• Conduct routine checks on vehicle cooling, oil, electrical, and brake systems, as well as tire pressure
• Detect and report vehicle system malfunctions
• Maintain work tickets for assigned vehicles
• Ensure security and safety of vehicles both on and off the road
• Oversee the safety of passengers and/or goods being transported
• Maintain cleanliness and proper condition of motor vehicles
• Prepare periodic vehicle maintenance and performance reports

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum of three (3) years of service in the Driver II grade
• Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a mean grade of D (plain) or equivalent qualification
• Valid driving license free from current endorsements and valid for required vehicle classes
• Occupational Trade Test for Drivers Grade III from Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution
• First Aid Refresher Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John Ambulance, KIHBT, or any other recognized institution
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police Service (DCI)
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
