Debtors Accountant at Kim-Fay East Africa Limited

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Debtors Accountant to manage assigned client portfolios and ensure accurate, timely financial records. This role involves account reconciliations, debt management, posting of receipts, and processing of credit notes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned client portfolios and maintain accurate financial records
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure posting accuracy
• Process receipts and credit notes in a timely manner
• Manage debt collections through active follow-up on outstanding balances
• Prioritize workload and take prompt action on aged balances
• Vet new client accounts and assess creditworthiness
• Generate statements and maintain effective client communication

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and statement generation
• Proficiency with ERP systems for invoicing, receipts, and credit note processing
