Criminal Justice and Security Management- Senior Lecturer at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Position

Africa Nazarene University is seeking a qualified Senior Lecturer to join the Criminal Justice and Security Management department in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement high-quality curriculum
• Review and update curriculum and course outlines; develop comprehensive course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods including field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities to enhance student learning
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate and graduate students, as well as internship and research work
• Conduct departmental and specialist area research, publishing findings in professional journals, books, and electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Provide academic and career advising to students
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, and participate in industrial linkages and market outreach initiatives
• Contribute to departmental administrative operations and field programs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Senior Researcher, OR six (6) years of research or industry experience
• Minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty-four (24) must be from peer-reviewed scholarly journals
• Demonstrated national, regional, and international recognition for research
• Supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent
• Track record of attracting research funds as a Lecturer or Research Fellow
