Controller at Total Security Surveillance

About the Role

We are a reputable private security company seeking to fill the position of Controller. The Controller will undertake the monitoring of surveillance systems and other security systems to ensure the safety and security of our operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Book all incidents in the systems
• Maintain surveillance of surrounding areas to detect suspicious activities
• Operate, maintain, and monitor all security systems within the Control Centre in an efficient manner
• Monitor alarms and alert Response teams to respond to distress calls immediately
• Monitor and patrol via view screens, taking remedial or immediate action and providing appropriate notifications for events observed
• Monitor surveillance systems, CCTV, tracking systems, alarms, and other security equipment
• Initiate incident response as appropriate within established response and escalation procedures
• Communicate with other departments, external agencies, and the public in a professional and courteous manner at all times
• Maintain system security by providing data in accordance with organizational regulations and ensuring the security of the control room and equipment
• Monitor and radio call all sub-stations to ensure they remain alert at all times
• Conduct regular equipment checks and report equipment failures to the relevant supervisor

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Security Studies or any other relevant degree
• Previous work experience serving as a Controller in the private security industry (required)
• Experience in CCTV surveillance
• Tech savvy with good working knowledge of computers
• Good command of English language, including phonetic language
• Training in CCTV monitoring (added advantage)
