About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to identify and develop business opportunities for our organization. You will be responsible for seeking new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with specifiers, including architects, quantity surveyors, engineers, and other industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities
- Contact potential specifiers through visits, calls, and emails
- Present company solutions to potential clients including architects, surveyors, and engineers
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Build long-term, trusting relationships with specifiers
- Set up meetings or calls between prospective clients and Account Executives
- Report to the Business Development Manager on sales results (weekly, monthly, or quarterly)
- Stay up-to-date with new products, services, pricing, and payment plans
Required Education and Qualifications
- BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or relevant field
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role in the construction industry
- Experience working with specifiers in the construction industry
- Track record of achieving sales quotas
- Good understanding of sales performance metrics
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency with MS Excel for analyzing spreadsheets and charts
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
