Position Overview
Reporting to the Head of Life and Pensions, the Business Development Manager – Corporate Life and Pensions will drive the organization's corporate business development strategies, enhance the current portfolio, and explore new business opportunities.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and implement marketing and sales strategies geared towards business growth and retention
- Source, negotiate, and procure business in line with set targets and budgets
- Develop market presence with a focus on building and maintaining strong positioning in the country
- Establish strategic alliances with key business drivers
- Conduct market intelligence to ensure alignment with industry trends and adopt product pricing mechanisms that ensure profitability
- Implement control mechanisms to measure service satisfaction among agents, brokers, customers, and regulators
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Commerce, Marketing, Insurance, or equivalent from a recognized university
- Professional certification in Insurance, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience developing and maintaining business growth with tangible results
- Ability to work effectively at both strategic and tactical levels
