About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Workshop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our workshop and ensure the efficient maintenance, repair, and safety of all company vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent technical knowledge and a commitment to high standards of safety, productivity, and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and verify deliveries of supplies, tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise day-to-day operations on the workshop floor
• Ensure all company vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and repaired to required standards
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness, organization, and safety within the workshop and surrounding areas
• Ensure all workshop documents, records, and maintenance logs are accurate, up to date, and properly filed
• Prepare all company vehicles in a timely manner for annual general police inspections
• Allocate tasks and duties to workshop staff and provide day-to-day supervision
• Oversee and participate in vehicle repair and maintenance work, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with legal requirements
• Maintain accurate records for vehicles and equipment to support efficiency and accountability
• Ensure specialized tools and equipment are readily available and in good working condition
• Inspect and approve all parts for purchase, ensuring they are genuine, fit for use, and durable
• Enforce safe working practices and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Identify and report any additional vehicle defects beyond those listed on job cards
• Report recurring vehicle problems to support continuous improvement
• Report any factors delaying work and promptly move to the next scheduled task
• Attend to on-road breakdowns promptly to reduce downtime
• Respond quickly to road accidents involving company trucks, including recovery operations
