## Title: Welder

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Welder.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise welding and fabrication using approved techniques to assemble and repair metal structures and components
  • Ensure all welds consistently meet high industry standards, company specifications, and required safety codes
  • Inspect finished work through visual checks and measurement analysis, and correct any weld defects to maintain structural soundness and quality control
  • Read, understand, and accurately interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical welding symbols
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding machines and related equipment, ensuring immediate reporting of any faulty equipment or workplace hazards
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements while utilizing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Maintain a meticulously clean and safe work environment at all times to proactively prevent accidents and injuries
  • Coordinate effectively with supervisors, fabricators, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely task completion
  • Accurately record job details, time spent on tasks, and materials utilized as per procedural requirements
  • Assist in the mentorship and training of new welders or apprentices, contributing to the development of the team

Requirements

  • Certificate or diploma in Welding, Fabrication, or related field
  • Proven welding experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and welding symbols
  • Knowledge of different metals and welding techniques
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, heights, and varying environmental conditions
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Problem-solving ability and initiative
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and operate machinery
