Weighbridge Operator at Kenya Builders & Concrete Co. Ltd

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Weighbridge Operator.

Key Responsibilities

• Ascertain accuracy by weighing raw materials and goods being picked from the site by any vehicle
• Collect and collate all documentation including LPOs prior to weighing
• Maintain proper housekeeping of the weighbridge and general area to ensure a clean, tidy, and hazard-free condition
• Report to management in case of breach of rules, acts of dishonesty, or malpractice by any member of the public, visitor to the site, or staff member
• Act as first point of contact for any vehicles to resolve issues or problems with delivery or collection of goods
• Ensure that all Health & Safety measures are adhered to by any person at the weighbridge, including the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment
• Maintain and develop effective relationships with all customers whilst ensuring efficiency in service delivery
• Maintain awareness of relevant details of risk assessments, emergency procedures, and other health, safety, and environmental compliance matters
• Resolve customer complaints immediately to ensure customer satisfaction at the weighbridge
• Prepare timely weighbridge reports for raw materials
• Keep proper records for all deliveries of raw materials, fuels, and materials dispatched on a daily basis

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or trade test in logistics management
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (procurement, supply chain and logistics, data analysis) desired
• Degree or Diploma in Automotive Engineering (Motor Vehicle Electrics), IT, Electronics, or Operations Management or a related field (added advantage)
