Warehouse & Stores Manager at Fireside Engineering Group

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our team as a Warehouse & Stores Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance
• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff; plan and organize staff shifts and schedules
• Receive and inspect materials into the stores, verify contents, and store materials in designated locations
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock levels at all times
• Conduct periodic physical stock counts and reconcile balances with inventory records
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse reports and track performance metrics
• Prevent unauthorized access to stores and coordinate departmental workflow
• Issue and maintain records of available, issued, or needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Advise management on obsolete and slow-moving inventory
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Prepare and analyze equipment decommission records
• Assist in cost research and equipment comparisons
• Handle client staff correspondence and equipment inquiries
• Maintain proper documentation of all receipts, issues, and inventory balances

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management
• 3-7 years of warehouse experience with supervisory responsibility
• Thorough understanding of warehouse procedures and day-to-day operations
• Expertise in inventory management, stock keeping, storage methods, and control techniques
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards
• Excellent communication skills with ability to liaise with procurement, logistics, production, and finance departments
