Volunteer Teaching - Religion at Africa Nazarene University (ANU)

About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to contribute to religious studies education at Africa Nazarene University in Nairobi, Kenya.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development, planning, and implementation of high-quality curriculum
• Review curriculum and course outlines and develop course and lesson plans
• Prepare contact learning and online course materials and teaching aids
• Employ various teaching methods (such as field studies, group activities, assignments, laboratory sessions, and off-class activities) to support student learning and deliver course content
• Develop learning assessment plans
• Supervise and guide undergraduate students, graduate students, internship work, and research projects
• Participate in departmental research and conduct research in specialist areas, publishing findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media
• Participate in grant writing and research collaborations
• Advise students on academic, career, and related issues as required
• Attend conferences, workshops, seminars, industrial linkages, and market outreach visits as required
• Participate in departmental administrative, field operations, and programs

Academic and Professional Requirements

• PhD in a relevant field, in line with the program domain
• Master's degree in a relevant field with PhD studies at the final stage (data collection phase)
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant industry experience
